ZÁZRIVÁ (from Vrátna valley 10 km)

Zázrivá is a mounatin village on the North of Slovakia, on the border of Malá Fatra nad Oravská Vrchovina. It is a favorite destination for leisure, vacation and active recreation.  The village has a history of more than 450 years, so its history is diverse. Less official history is captured in two books Povestí spod Rozsutca (Legends from under Rozsutec). Zázrivá village is vast, it has 11 settlements, its land area borders Kysuce region, Horné Považie region, Orava region - that is why its landscape is diverse. The best you can do during your trips its to orient yourself according a map. Buy a map of Malá Fatra or Orava, Zázrivá is usually part of both of them. If you pay attention and have a luck, you can find lot of beautiful flowers, notice a forrest animal...or find an edible mushroom. - the nature here is very various.
